Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is a former cattle ranch that was turned into a rhino sanctuary in 1983. It is now a respected and world renowned conservancy acting as a catalyst for conservation of wildlife and its habitat.
The team is dedicated to safeguarding some of Africa’s most precious species and face every conceivable wildlife emergency as the animals come under threat from poachers and predators. These animals are their first priority. But Lewa’s vision is to promote conservation throughout the region far beyond the reserve’s own border.
